Have you ever been to Thailand?

I have been to Thailand many times with my family over the last twelve years. My favorite place in this beautiful country is Cha-Am, which is also the favorite place to relax for many Thai people as well.

Cha-Am has a very relaxing atmosphere with its nice beach, hotels, guest houses, restaurants and small shops. And of course the people, they are always smiling and friendly. Cha-Am is just about 15 miles away from Hua-Hin, which offers a lot of interesting places to visit.

On our first time at Cha-Am we got to know Pum. She runs a shop where you can get Thai massage, oil massage, foot massage and laundry services. See the massage menu!

Pum at Mum Sabai

The shop is called Mum Sabai (means "place to relax" in Thai) Every time since our first travel twelve years ago, we have used Pum's services. We have never been dissapointed.

If you want to visit Cha-Am and Pum's shop, it is located just next to the Long Beach Hotel. We have used this hotel for many years. It is always nice to come back and be welcomed by their lovely staff.

The next photo was taken in July 2007. Many people think it's always raining at this time of the year, but it's not. In fact we have had very nice weather on our summer travels to Cha-Am.

There are some showers now and then, but very soon the sun is shining again.

Some of the nice things in the summer time: flight tickets are cheaper, there are not too many tourists around (having said that, it is not bad in the winter time either!).

Last summer (2010), the air temperature was around 30 celsius, and just a few degrees lower in the sea.

The next photo was taken in July 2008. This is just some 250 steps to walk from Mum Sabai. (the photo above is from the same location).

After a nice day at the beach, or a long walk on the beach road, it is always very nice to have some foot or Thai massage at Mum Sabai.

After a good massage you can eat at one of the many very good restaurants in the area. One of my favorites in the area is Aroy (about one mile from Mum Sabai). A good walk or a nice short taxi trip.

Happy Dreaming !!
